Hall of Fame
Rachel Luckett is a 1994 graduate who was a three-year letter-winner in track and field. A native of Crossett, Arkansas, she was a two-time NAIA All-American 200 and 400-meter sprinter. She was an important member on two relay teams that ranked high nationally during her senior year. Running the third leg on the 4X400-meter relay at the NAIA National Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Vancouver, Canada, she helped the Lady Lions produce a seasonal best timing of 3:44.91 in the event that ranked second nationally. In her senior year, she ran on the 4X100-meter relay squad that saw UAPB finish fourth nationally with a 47.16 clocking. After graduating with a degree in hospitality and dietetics, she earned a master’s of science degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in clinical nutrition.
Rachel Luckett is the urban outreach director for the UAPB North Little Rock campus and the UAPB main campus. She also is the third-year pastor of Allen Chapel AME Church in Atkins, Arkansas, an adjunct professor at Shorter College in North Little Rock and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Recently, she released her first book entitled “The Finisher” My Winning Season.
