Mark Lewis is a 2005 graduate who was a four-year letterman in baseball. A native of Forrest City, Arkansas, he also was a four-year starting shortstop and led the team is stolen bases for three consecutive years. Recruited by former baseball coach Elbert Bennett, the speedy infielder was named All-Southwestern Athletic Conference as a junior and senior. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in business management, he played two years professionally for the Laredo Broncos of the United Baseball League in Laredo, Texas. For the past 12 years, he has served as the head baseball coach at The SEED School of Washington, DC, which is a public charter school where he also has been a teacher for 15 years.
