Box Score PINE BLUFF, Ark. (March 15) - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Softball team scored 32 runs and punched out 29 hits in two game against Rust College with the Lady Lions defeating Rust College, 20-0 in game one and 12-1 in game two, here Wednesday afternoon at the Torii Hunter Baseball, Softball and Little League Complex.

In game one, UAPB finished the contest with 18 hits, whereas RC finished with two.

The Lady Lions had four players to finish with three hits each in
Tonnay Hawkins,
Ta'Lyn Moody,
Alexandria Taylor and Page Garcia. Garcia led UAPB in RBIs with six, followed by Moody,
Maria Aguilar, and
Kameron Graham with two and Hawkins with one.Â

UAPB recorded five triples in the contest with
Shanice Akins finishing with two and Hawkins, Garcia and Aguilar finished with one apiece.  In addition, Garcia and Graham recorded a home run each in the contest.

Karia Beth Hall (3-10) received the win for the Lady Lions. She pitched five scoreless innings, allowing two hits and striking nine in the 20 batters she faced.  Â

Jamie Gilliam received the loss for the Lady Bearcats. She gave up 18 hits and nine earned runs in the 33 batters she faced.

UAPB plated three runs in the first, five runs in the second, nine in the third and three in the fourth for the 20-0 finale.

In the second game, UAPB finished the contest with 11 hits, whereas RC tallied four.

The Lady Lions had four players to finish with two hits each in Hawkins,
Alexandria Taylor, and Monique
Shanice Akins.

Hawkins in the contest recorded two inside the park homers, whereas Taylor, Garcia, Nikolao and Graham finished with double each in the contest.

RC had four player to finish the contest with one hit apiece.

Angelique Ramos (2-4) picked the win for the Lady Lions in game two. She gave up four hits, one earned runs and struck out three in the 20 batters she faced.

Susie Nordin received the loss for the Lady Bearcats. She gave up 12 hits, 11 earned runs and struck out one in her four innings in the circle.

RC jumped out to a 1-0 lead with the Bearcats plating a run in their half of the first.

UAPB recaptured the lead in their half of the first inning with the Lady Lions plating 12 runs in the frame for the 12-1 finale invoking the eight-run mercy rule.
