Box Score CONWAY, Ark. (Feb. 25) - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Softball team fell to Houston Baptist, 12-4 here Saturday morning at Farris Field.

UAPB finished the contest with 10 hits, whereas HBU finished with 12.

The Lady Lions had three players to finish with two hits each in
Ta'Lyn Moody,
Monique Nikolao and
Kameron Graham.

The Huskies was paced by Heidi Jaquez and Megan Hiers with them both finishing with three hits each for HBU.

Stephanie Buenrostro (2-1) received the win for the Huskies. She pitched one and two-third innings in relief, allowing three hits and striking out three in the eight batters she faced. Shae Bibby, the HBU starter pitched three and one-third inning, allowing seven hits, four earned runs and striking out one in the 18 batters she faced.

Angelique Ramos (1-3) received the loss for the Lady Lions. In her outing in the circle, Ramos gave up nine hits, eight earned runs and striking out one in the 25 batters he faced. Karia Hall also saw action in the circle for UAPB as she pitched two-third innings, allowing three hits, four earned runs and striking out two in the five batters she faced.

HBU took a 2-0 lead with the Huskies scoring two runs on a Kassie James double scoring both Nicole Shedd and Heidi Jaquez in the bottom of the third inning.

UAPB plated four runs in the top of the fourth inning to take a 4-2 lead. Graham scored the first run of the inning on a
Lydia Mitchell single. Then both Mitchell and
Maria Aguilar would score on a Hall double to left center. Hawkins scoring the Lady Lions' final run of the inning on a Moody double to left field.

The Huskies would score six runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and four in the fifth inning for the 12-4 final invoking the eight-run mercy rule.
