Box Score CONWAY, Ark. (Feb. 24) - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff dropped a 10-0 decision to the University of Central Arkansas, here Friday night at Farris Field.
UCA finished the contest with nine hits, whereas UAPB finished with two.
Paige Garcia and Nikolao finished with one hit each in the contest to lead UAPB.
UCA was led by Kayla Crutchmer with two hits.
Kayla Gomness (2-4) received the win for the Sugar Bears. She pitched five inning, allowing two hits and striking out seven in the 19 batters she faced.
Karia Beth Hall (1-7) received the loss for the Lady Lions. She toed the rubber for four innings, allowing nine hits, nine earned runs and striking out three in the 29 batters she faced.
UCA plated five runs in their half of the first, three in their half of the third and two in the fourth to invoke the eight-run mercy rule for the 10-0 win.
