Box Score HOUSTON, Texas (Feb. 18) - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Men's Basketball team dropped a 78-40 decision to Texas Southern, here Saturday night at the Health and Physical Education Arena.
 
UAPB (7-20, 6-8 SWAC) was led by Deshon Bayless with 12 points, followed by Jaquan Lynch with eight.  Bayless led the Golden Lions in rebounds with five.
 
TSU (15-11, 11-2 SWAC) had three players to score in double-figures with Demontrae Jefferson scoring a game high 16 points to lead all scorers.  Zach Loft added 13   and Jalan McCloud finished with 11.  Stephan Bennett led TSU on the boards with eight rebounds.
 
UAPB trailed TSU 39-19 at the intermission with the Golden Lions finishing the first half shooting 44.4 percent (8-of-18), while TSU shot 46.9 percent (15-of-32).
 
In the second half, the Tigers outscored the Golden Lions, 39-21 for the 78-40 final.  UAPB finished the contest shooting 36.6 percent (15-of-41), whereas the Tigers shot 45.9 percent (28-of-61),
