UAPB Standout Quion Williams Named First-Team All-SWAC
PINE BLUFF, AR. University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff men's basketball standout guard Quion Williams has been named First-Team All-Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC), as announced today by the league's head coaches and sports information directors.

A native of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Williams made an immediate impact in his first season with the Golden Lions, emerging as one of the most complete and dynamic players in the conference.

Williams finished the regular season fifth in the SWAC in scoring, averaging 17.6 points per game, while also ranking second in the conference in rebounding at 8.2 rebounds per game, an impressive mark for a guard.

He also led the conference in playmaking, finishing first in assists with 163 total assists, averaging 5.4 assists per game. Defensively, Williams ranked fifth in the SWAC in steals at 1.7 per game and ninth in the conference in blocks with 25 on the season, showcasing his ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor.

Williams recorded multiple double-double performances during the season, including standout efforts against Portland (31 points, 13 rebounds), Alabama State (17 points, 10 rebounds), Florida A&M (12 points, 10 rebounds), Jackson State (25 points, 10 rebounds), and Alcorn State (18 points, 13 rebounds).

His all-around excellence throughout the season also earned him two SWAC weekly honors, including SWAC Player of the Week and SWAC Impact Player of the Week, while also being recognized as SWAC Newcomer of the Week earlier in the season.

Williams' ability to impact the game in every phase of scoring, rebounding, facilitating, and defending, made him one of the most versatile players in the conference and a key leader for the Golden Lions this season.

A true all-around performer, Williams helped power UAPB throughout conference play and solidified himself as one of the premier players in the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
