Box Score RUSTON, La. (Feb. 12) - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Softball dropped their final game of the Louisiana Tech Softball in a 3-2 loss to the University of Incarnate Word, here Sunday morning at the O.A. Tech Softball Complex.

UAPB finished the contest with seven hits, whereas UIW finished with five.

UIW (2-3) had five players to finish with one hit apiece.Â
UAPB (1-4) had three Lady Lions to finish with two hits each in
Tonnay Hawkins,
Paige Garcia, and
Kameron Graham.

Both Kristen Hebert and Sarah Leal spent time in the circle for UIW. Hebert (1-0) picked up the win for the Cardinals. She pitched five innings, allowing five hits, one earned run and striking out one in the 18 batters she faced. Leal (1) got the save as she pitched two innings in relief, allowing two hits and one earned run in the nine batters she faced.

Karia Beth Hall (1-4) went the distance for UAPB, pitching seven innings, allowing five hits, three earned runs and striking out four in the 32 batters she faced.

UAPB took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning on a Garcia single scoring
Alexandria Taylor.

UIW regained the lead in the top sixth inning as they plated three runs in the inning.

Ta'Lyn Moody scored the Lady Lions' final run of the contest on a Garcia single in the bottom of the sixth inning for the 3-2 final.
