Box Score PINE BLUFF, Ark. (March 26) - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Softball team dropped a doubleheader to Alabama A&M with the Lady Bulldogs winning game one, 2-1 and game two 6-1 here Saturday afternoon at the Torii Hunter Baseball, Softball and Little League Complex.

In game one, UAPB finished the contest with four hits, while AAMU recorded two.

The Lady Lions was led by
Paige Garcia, who went two-for-three from the plate.

Both Viridiana Ramos and Ariel Smith finished with one hit apiece to lead the Lady Bulldogs.

Jordan Bradley (2-5) picked up the win for AAMU, allowing four hits and striking out two in seven innings of work.

Hailey Forbes received the loss for UAPB with her pitching seven innings, allowing two hits, one earned runs and striking gout one in the 29 batters she faced.

AAMU took a 1-0 lead with Ariel Smith scoring on an UAPB fielding error in the top of the third inning.

UAPB tied the contest at 1-1 in the bottom of the third inning with Forbes scoring on a
Kayla Reap fielder's choice.

The Lady Bulldogs score the final run of the contest on a Ramos double to right field scoring Eriel Lawson for the 2-1 finale.

In game two, UAPB finished the contest with six hits, whereas AAMU tallied seven.

Tonnay Hawkins led the Lady Lions from the plate with collecting two hits in three at-bats and scoring one run.

AAMU was paced by Tiana Sanders as she finished the contest with three hits in four at-bats, scoring two runs and driving in two runs.

Caitlyn Hayden (3-4) received the win for the Lady Bulldogs. She pitched seven innings, allowing six hits, one earned run and striking out eight.

Briana Young (1-3) took the loss for the Lady Lions. She gave seven hits, four earned runs and striking out five in seven innings of work.

AAMU jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning with both Lawson and Desiree Taylor scoring on a Sanders double. Then Sanders would score on Ramos ground out to third base.

The Lady Bulldogs added to their lead to in the top of the third inning as the scored three runs to take a 6-0 lead over UAPB.

UAPB plated one run in the bottom of the sixth inning on a
Maria Aguilar single scoring Hawkins for the 6-1 finale.

With the loss, UAPB falls to 2-4 in Southwestern Athletic Conference play and 10-20 overall, whereas AAMU goes to 5-2 in conference play and 6-19 overall.
