Box Score PINE BLUFF, Ark. (March 25) - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Softball team dropped a 3-2 decision to Alabama A&M, here Friday afternoon at the Torii Hunter Baseball, Softball and Little League Complex.
UAPB finished the contest with seven hits, while AAMU tallied eight.
Tonnay Hawkins led the Lady Lions from the plate as she finished the contest with three hits in four at-bats.
Both Tiana Sanders and Kia Lang finished with two hits each to lead the Lady Bulldogs.
Caitlyn Hayden (2-5) received the win the Lady Bulldogs, allowing seven this, one earned runs and striking out five in seven inning of work.
Karia Hall (2-3) received the loss for UAPB as she pitched six and one-third innings, allowing eight hits, three earned runs and striking out seven.
AAMU grabbed a 2-0 lead in the top of the second inning on a Sander two-run shot right field.
The Lady Bulldogs added to their lead in the top of third on a Kia Lang single scoring Sanders, giving AAMU a 3-0 lead.
