Lady Lions Hailey Forbes Named Player Of The Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff pitcher have been recognized as Southwestern Athletic Conference for their exceptional performance in competition from March 7-March 14.

Hailey Forbes a junior Canyon, Texas posted a 1-1 record during action for the Lady Lions. In a 5-1 victory over Central Baptist College, Forbes threw a complete game while allowing four hits and one earned run. In the win, Forbes struck out five batters. Forbes ranks third in the conference in games started and fourth in total appearances, and is sixth in innings pitched.

The Lady Lions will take on Jarvis Christian Wednesday March 16th in a doubleheader starting at 1:00pm at the Torii Hunter Baseball/Softball Complex.
