Box Score PINE BLUFF, Ark. (April 1)  - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Softball picked up a pair of wins over Jarvis Christian today with the Lady Lions defeating the Lady Bulldogs 9-1 in game one and 15-4 in game two, here Wednesday afternoon at the Torii Hunter Baseball, Softball and Little League Complex.
 
In game one, UAPB belted out nine hits, while JCC finished with three. 
 
UAPB was paced by both Page Garcia and Makayla Hunter as they finished with two hits each for the Lady Lions.
 
JCC had three Lady Bulldogs to finish with a hit each.
 
Shanice Murry (2-6) picked up the win for the Lady Lions, allowing three hits, one earned runs and striking out five in six innings of work.
 
Crystal Fagnama (0-6) received the loss for JCC, allowing nine hits, two earned runs and striking out one in five and one-third innings in the circle.
 
UAPB scored runs in every innings except for the first and fourth inning.   The Lady Lions scored five in the bottom of the second, one run in the bottom of the third, one run in the bottom of the fifth and two runs in the bottom of the sixth evoking the eight-run rule for the 9-1 win.
 
The Lady Bulldogs scored their only run of the contest in the top of the sixth inning.
 
In game two, UAPB finished the contest with 16 hits, while JCC tallied seven.
 
Both Garcia and Tiressa Jacobs finished with three hits to lead the Lady Lions from the plate.  In addition, Garcia scored two runs and drove in three, while Jacobs scored one runs and driving in two in the contest.
 
Makayla Hunter (1-8) picked up the win for UAPB, allowing seven hits, four earned runs and striking out two in five innings of work, while Cheyenne Herbert (2-5) received the loss for JCC, allowing 11 hits, eight earned runs and striking out one in one and two-third innings of work.
 
The Lady Lions plated eight runs in the bottom of the first innings and seven runs in the bottom of the second inning.
 
JCC scored one run in the first, the second, the third and the fourth for the 15-4 finale.
