HOUSTON (April 18) - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Softball team dropped a 14-1 decision to Texas Southern here Friday afternoon at Memorial Park.

UAPB (7-31, 3-9 SWAC) finished the contest with three hits, whereas TSU recorded 11.

Janiece Tillman picked up the win for the Lady Tigers as she pitched five innings allowing three hits, one earned run and striking out five, whereas Alexsis McCain received the loss as she pitched four innings, allowing 11 hits, and 12 earned runs.

TSU jumped out to a 6-0 lead as the Lady Tigers plated four runs in the second and two runs in the third.  The Lady Tigers made the score 14-0 with an eight run fourth inning.

UAPB scored their only run in the top of the fifth inning on a Jasmine Hardwrick homer to left field for the 14-1 finale.
