Decatur, Ala. – Under skies with high hopes, the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Lady Lions softball team knew they had a hard task ahead of them, as yesterday's loss put UAPB in the loser's bracket in the double elimination format for the 2013 SWAC Softball Championships. After yesterday's loss to Alabama State, the Lady Lions drew The Jackson State University Lady Tigers in a 1 PM match-up.
The Lady Tigers got on the board first, with three runs in the first inning and would add four runs in the fourth inning before the Lady Lions plated their only run of the afternoon. Jasmine Hardwrick, who reached on a single came around to score on a
Heather Leigh single to make to scoreboard read 7-1.
JSU added three more runs in the top of the fifth inning for today's final, 10-1. With this being the second loss of the tourney for the Lady Lions, a run at this year's title was abruptly ended.

Tiffany Ansley definitely has some key players in place for next year's softball season and another shot at the 2014 SWAC softball crown.
