Oxford, Miss- In mid-week softball action, the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff traveled to the campus of Ole Miss for a mid-season fill-in game. The Lady Rebs won going away, 8-0.

Ole Miss junior pitcher Carly Hummel threw a no-hitter and was credited with the victory. UAPB's Heather Leigh suffered the loss.

The Lady Lions came into Tuesday with a share of the SWAC western division lead, after sweeping Grambling State over the weekend.

When asked if the this loss will have any affect on how her team has been playing thus far, head coach Tiffany Ansley offered this, “With anything I think I game this will relight the fire going into this weekend.”

The Lady Lions will host Texas Southern this weekend in battle for first place, as the two clubs are currently tied in the SWAC standings. First pitch on Friday is set for 3 PM.
