The University of Arkansas At Pine Bluff men's basketball team opens the month of December with a Wednesday night game at Tulsa.
The 7 p.m. game can be viewed online at ESPN3 via uapblionsroar.com and on the free UAPB Athletics App, which also will have live stats.
The Golden Lions last played on Nov. 25, defeating Champion Christian in the home opener 75-67.
Dequan Morris posted season highs in points (22) and rebounds (nine), while
Markedric Bell posted his first-career double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds while adding six assists.
UAPB led by as many as 20 in the second half but Champion Christian would not go away, outscoring the Golden Lions down the stretch.
UAPB faces a Tulsa team (6-1) that has won five games in a row, including Saturday's 67-58 win at Vanderbilt. Brandon Rachal (16.6 ppg, 7.6 reb.) leads Tulsa in both scoring and rebounding.
"Taking care of the basketball and cutting down on fouls will be key for us," said UAPB head coach
George Ivory. "Tulsa brings big challenges. They don't have many weaknesses, they play great together as a team on both offense and defense, and do a really good job of controlling the tempo of the game."
Wednesday's game is the first of a two-game week for UAPB, which will play at Texas El Paso Saturday at 8 p.m.
