DENTON, Texas – The University of Arkansas At Pine Bluff men's basketball team will play its final game of the week in a Saturday afternoon game at North Texas.

UAPB is coming off a 65-40 loss at New Mexico St. Wednesday night. Marquell Carter, Dequan Morris, and Markedric Bell each had eight points for the Golden Lions, with Carter and Bell each adding six rebounds apiece.
 
UAPB shot 35 percent from the field (16-46), 3-12 from 3-point range, and 5-6 at the free throw line. The Golden Lions did their best job of the season protecting the basketball, committing a season-low 14 turnovers.

Bell leads the Golden Lions in scoring and rebounding, averaging 10.0 points and 5.1 rebounds per game.

North Texas (4-7) is coming off a 71-58 loss at No. 13 Dayton on Tuesday night. Umoja Gibson (14.9 ppg.) leads the team in scoring, while Deng Geu (6.5) leads the Mean Green in rebounding (6.5).

As a team, North Texas shoots 44 percent from the field, 37 percent from three-point range, and 73 percent from the free throw line.
