TAMPA, Fla. – The 2019-20 season for Arkansas At Pine Bluff men's basketball is here as the Golden Lions will play at South Florida Tuesday night.

The game will be broadcast live on the UAPB Sports Network beginning at 6:45 p.m. with Lions Roar Pregame on 99.3 FM The Beat in Pine Bluff and online at uapblionsroar.com and on the free UAPB Athletics App. The 7 p.m. game will also be video streamed online at ESPN3.com.

Entering his 12^th season leading the Golden Lions, head coach George Ivory is looking forward to the new season.

"I'm very excited to get started," Ivory said. "We've been in camp since late September, and the young men have come in, worked hard, have given it all they have in getting ready, and getting extra work in in preparation for the season. We're pleased with the work they've put in and are excited to start playing."

South Florida of the American Athletic Conference won 24 games last season, including the College Basketball Insider postseason tournament. They have three players named to the preseason all-conference team and were picked to finished fifth in the AAC this season.

"They have a championship pedigree," Ivory said. "They are a great offensive rebounding team. Their point guard (Laquincy Rideau) led the lead in assists and steals last year, and was the defensive player of the year in the conference. Overall, it's going to be a great challenge for us go down to South Florida and try to come out with a victory. We have to understand if we take our time and play solid basketball, we'll have a chance to win."
