Box Score PINE BLUFF, Ark. (Feb. 27) - Jackson State handed the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Men's Basketball team, a 62-51 loss here Monday night at H.O. Clemmons Arena.
 
UAPB (7-24, 6-11 SWAC) was led by both Jaquan Lynch and Devin Berry as they finished the contest with 10 points each.  Behind them was Charles Jackson with eight.  Trent Steen led the Golden Lions on the boards with six rebounds.
 
JSU (12-17, 8-8 SWAC) was paced by Paris Collins with 16 points and eight rebounds. Both Yetra Specks and Derek Roscoe with 13 points each to round out the cast of double-digit scorers for the Tigers. 
 
The Tigers built a 22-9 lead on a pair of Maurice Rivers free throws with 6:08 to go in the first half.
 
UAPB cut JSU's lead to 22-17 on Travon Harper jumper at the 2:18 mark, capping an 8-0 run by the Golden Lions. 
 
JSU closed out the first half with an 8-0 run to take a 30-19 lead into intermission.
 
UAPB finished the first half shooting 33.3 percent (8-of-24), whereas JSU finished the half shooting 45.5 percent (10-of-22).
 
In the second half extended their lead to 47-27 on a Collins three pointer with 8:44 left in the contest capping a 17-8 run by JSU to open the half.
 
UAPB finished the contest shooting 32.7 percent (18-of-55), whereas JSU shot 47.5 percent (19-of-40).  The Tigers held the rebounding margin over the Golden Lions, 35-34.
