Box Score CORVALLIS, Ore. - Arkansas Pine Bluff continues to search for its first win in a gruesome 17 game road stretch with a recent 85-58 loss to Oregon State University. Senior Travon Harper had a near perfect game from the field, missing only one shot in the contest as he made 8-of-9 field goals and nailed all four of his free throws, producing the only double-double in the game with 20 points and 10 boards while teammate Charles Jackson finished with 14 points, three assists, and tied a game-high with four 3-pointers.
Senior jump shooter Joe'Randle Toliver also tied a game-high with 4 three-pointers and produced three assists in the loss. In the first half, the Golden Lions shot over 54 percent from the field but cooled down in the second half, shooting only 36 percent. Oregon State shot over 53 percent in the opening half and nearly matched it in the latter half, shooting over 48 percent from the field.
Oregon State enjoyed 25 points off of 19 Golden Lions turnovers while UAPB (0-10) scored just five points off of 11 OSU turnovers.
The Golden Lions basketball team returns to action on Wednesday, December 13 as it travels to California to face Fresno State. Tip-off is set at 7 p.m.
