Box Score PINE BLUFF, Ark. (Jan. 23) - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Men's Basketball team snapped their three-game losing streak with a 71-68 double overtime win over Prairie View A&M, here Monday night at the H. O. Clemmons Arena.

UAPB trailed 19-11 with 7:11 remaining in the first half, capped off by PVAMU's Zachary Hamilton jumper.

The Golden Lions then put together a 13-5 run to tie the contest at 24-24 with 2:19 to go in the half.

UAPB would go into the break with a 26-25 lead over PVAMU. The Golden Lions finished the first half shooting 40.0 percent (8-of-20), while the Panthers shot 35.7 percent (10-of-28).

In the second half, UAPB pushed their lead to 49-41 with 8:58 remaining in the contest on a field goal by
Kennedy McKinney and back-to-back three pointers by
Charles Jackson.

PVAMU would then counter with a 10-0 run to take a 51-49 lead with 4:03 to go on a Hamilton three pointer.  Then the Panthers then extend their lead to 55-51 on a pair of free throws by Tevin Bellinger with 21 seconds left in the contest.

UAPB would tie the contest at 55-55 with seven second left to play on a three point play by
Ghiavonni Robinson and a made free throw by
Charles Jackson to send the game into overtime.

In the first overtime period, PVAMU took a 63-59 lead with 32 seconds left in the contest on a Troy Thompson free throw.Â

The Golden Lion tied the contest at 63-63 with 17 seconds left to go in the period on a pair of free throws by
Trent Steen and McKinney put back to send the contest into the second overtime period.

Jackson hit a three pointer with 4:10 remaining in the period to give the Golden Lions a 66-63 lead.

Bellinger tied the contest at 66-66 for PVAMU with his three point play with 3:09 left to play. PVAMU then broke the tie to give the Panthers a 68-66 lead with 2:17 to go.

McKinney tied the contest at 68-68 for UAPB with his put back with 1:00 remaining.

A three pointer by JoeRandle Oliver with 10 seconds left would give the Golden Lions the 71-68 win over the Panthers.Â

UAPB finished the contest shooting 37.7 percent (23-of-61), whereas PVAMU shot 38.7 percent (24-of-62). The Golden Lions held the rebounding margin over the Panthers, 43-41.

PVAMU (6-15, 3-4 SWAC) had three players to score in double-figures with Hamilton finishing with a team high 25 points, followed by Bellinger with19 and Thompson with 18. Ja' Donta Blakley led the Panthers on the board with eight. Both Bellinger and Blakley led the team in assists with five each.

UAPB (5-20, 4-3 SWAC) was led by Jackson with a game high 27 points on seven-for-10 shooting from behind the three point arch, while McKinney finished the contest with 10 to round out the cast of double-digit scorers for UAPB. Robinson led the Golden Lions on the boards with nine.Â
