Box Score HONOLULU, HAWAI'I (Nov. 27) - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Men's Basketball team dropped a 64-44 contest to the University of Hawai'i here Sunday night at the Stan Sheriff Center.
 
UAPB (1-5) had one Golden Lion to score in double figures in Ghiavonni Robinson with a team high 12 points.  Both Marquis Cunningham and JoeRandle Toliver finished with seven points each in the contest.  UAPB had three Golden Lions to finish with three rebounds each in Travon Harper, Marquis Cunningham, and Tillman.
 
UH(4-3) had three Rainbow Warriors to finish in double figures with Gibson Johnson recorded a team high 12 points, followed by both Jack Purchase and Matthew Owies with 11 points each.   Purchase led the UH in rebound and assists with six boards and four assists.
 
 
Harper and Robinson gave the Golden Lions the early 5-0 lead with layup by Harper and three pointer by Robinson with 18:14 left to play.
 
UH took a 6-5 lead with a 6-0 run on a pair of Noah Allen free throws with 13:08 remaining in the half.
 
The Golden Lions then used a 7-0 run to take a 12-6 lead over the Rainbow Warriors on Kennedy McKinney layup with 10:58 to go in the contest.
 
UH then went on a 10-2 run to take a 17-14 lead on a pair of Matthew Owies free throws with  6:41 to go in the half.
 
In the final six minutes of the half, UH outscored UAPB 12-8 to take a 29-22 lead into the break.
 
UAPB finished the first half shooting 40.0 percent (8-of-20), while UH shot 31.0 percent (9-of-29).
 
In the second half, the Rainbow Warriors built their lead to 47-32 on a Purchase three pointer with 9:43 remaining in the contest as UH went on to win the contest 64-44.
 
The Golden Lions finished the contest shooting 41 percent (16-of-39), while the Rainbow Warriors shot 44.9 percent (22-of-49).
UAPB will return to action on Thursday, December 1 against Tennessee-Martin in a 7 p.m. start at the H.O Clemmons Arena in Pine Bluff, Ark.
