Box Score PINE BLUFF, Ark. (Nov. 22) - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Men's Basketball team came up short in a 77-74 triple overtime loss to Blue Mountain College, here Monday afternoon at the H.O. Clemmons Arena.

UAPB (1-3) had a pair of the Golden Lions to finish in double-digit scoring
Trent Steen finishing with a 19 points and 12 rebounds, while
Ghiavonni Robinson added 16.   Robinson led the team in assists with four.

BMC (3-2) had four players to finish in double-figures with both Anfernee Floyd and Chris English finishing with a double-double.  Floyd finished the contest with 19 points and 15 boards, whereas English also finished with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Denio Chirindza added 15 and Conner Helvig finished with 14.Â

Jaquan Lynch gave the Golden Lions, a 50-47 lead with his made jumper and two made free throws with eight seconds left in the contest.Â

Helvig would hit a three pointer four seconds later to send the contest into its first overtime period.

BMC scored the first basket of the overtime period at the 4:21 mark, giving the Hill Toppers a 52-50 lead.

UAPB regained the lead on a three pointer by Robinson with 2:57 reaming in the contest. BMC then regained the lead the on a Chase Brittingham jumper with 1:21 remaining.

English then put the Hill Toppers up 58-56 with his free throw with eight seconds left in the contest.

A Justin McClellon foul with three seconds left in the contest overtime would send Robinson to the charity stripe to tie the contest at 58-58 on his two made free throws.

In the second overtime period nearly minutes would pass before either team would score. The Hill Toppers scored the first points of the second overtime on a Helvig made free throw with 3:21 left in the OT.Â

BMC then increased their lead to 64-61 on an English layup with 1:43 to go in the period.Â
UAPB tied the contest at 64-64 on a three point play by
Travon Harper with 1:21 left to play in the period.

A pair of made free throws by English and Floyd gave the Hill Toppers a 66-64 lead with eight seconds left in the period.

Steen would tie the contest at 66-66 on a put back as time expired off of a
Marcus Wallace missed three pointer.

In the third overtime, BMC took a 72-68 lead on a pair of three pointers by Helvig and English with 2:21 remaining in the period.Â

UAPB knotted the score at 72-72 on a put back by Steen and a pair of made free throws by Robinson with 1:06 left to play.

BMC and UAPB traded baskets to tie the contest at 74-74 on Chirindza layup for the Hill Toppers and Steen made field goal.Â

Floyd scored the final three points of the period for BMC on three made free throws for the 77-74 win over UAPB.

UAPB finished the contest shooting 41.1 percent (23-of-56), whereas BMC shot 35.2 percent (25-of-71).
