Box Score PINE BLUFF, Ark. (Nov. 14) - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Men's Basketball Team picked up their first win of the season with the Golden Lions defeating Ecclesia College, 83-47 here Monday afternoon at the H.O. Clemmons Arena.

UAPB (1-1) had a trio of Golden Lions to score in double-figures with
Ghiavonni Robinson finishing with a game high 19 points, followed by
Travon Harper with 19 and
Trent Steen with 10. Steen led UAPB on the boards with seven boards, while JoeRandle Toliver led the team in assists with six.

EC (3-4) had a pair of Royals to finish in double-figures with Austin Burroughs finishing with a team high 14 points, and David Gaut with 11. Randy Stanley led EC on the boards with four, while Gaut led team in assists with three.

In the contest UAPB never relinquished the lead with the Golden Lions taking a 13-6 lead on a Harper layup with 13:30 left in the first half.Â

UAPB then extended their lead to 32-13 with a 19-6 run, capped off by a Robinson dunk with 4:56 left in the half.Â

The Golden Lions finished the first half shooting 50.0 percent (17-of-34) as they took a 41-19 lead into the break, whereas EC finished the first half shooting 32.0 percent (8-of-25).

In the second half, UAPB then pushed their lead to 62-35 on a
David Tillman dunk of the 10:57 mark of the second half. The Golden Lions outscored the Royals 42-28 for the 83-47 finale.

UAPB finished the contest shooting 50.0 percent (31-of-62), while EC shot 30.2 percent (16-of-53).

The Golden Lions will return to action on Thursday, November 17 against George Washington University in a 7 p.m. start in Washington, D.C.
