Box Score PINE BLUFF, Ark. (Feb. 28)  - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Men's Basketball Team picked up their 10^th win of the season as the Golden Lions defeated Grambling State, 66-57 here Saturday night at the H.O. Clemmons Arena.
 
UAPB (10-20, 7-9 SWAC) had three Golden Lions to score in double-figures with JoVaughn Love scoring a team high 17 points, followed by Tevin Hammond with 14 and Marcel Mosley with 10.   Love led the Golden Lions on the boards with six, while Mosley dished out a team high five assists.
 
GSU (2-23, 0-15 SWAC) had three Tigers to score in double-figures with A'Torri Shine scoring a game high 21 points, followed by Mark Gray with 17 and Remond Brown with 10.   Richard Freeman led the team on the boards with 10 and dished out a team high four assists.
 
The Golden Lions jumped out to an 11-6 lead on a Love three pointer with 14:43 left in the first half.
 
GSU closed the gap with a 10-5 run to tie the contest at 16-16 on a Shine free throw with 5:33 remaining in the first.
 
UAPB closed out the first half with a 12-4 run to take a 28-21 lead into the break.
 
The Golden Lions finished the first half with eight points in the paint, 11 points off turnovers, one second chance point and three bench points.
 
GSU finished the first half with six points in the paint, four points off turnovers, seven second chance points and one bench point.
 
UAPB finished the first half shooting 42.3 percent (11-of-26), while GSU shot 33.3 percent (8-of-24). 
 
The Golden Lions  outscored the Tigers 18-15 in first seven and half minutes of the second half to take a 46-36 lead with 12:29 left in regulation on a Mosley three pointer.
 
In the half, GSU would cut UAPB's lead to seven points on two occasions at the 10:24 mark on a pair of Gray free throws cutting the Golden Lions' lead to 46-39. Then again at the 9:22 mark on another Gray free throw making the score 47-40 in favor of UAPB.
 
A Robert Wiley three pointer cut UAPB's lead to 51-48 with 6:38 left to play, capping an 8-5 run by the Tigers.
 
The Golden Lions countered with an 11-4 run to take a 62-51 lead on a Ghiavonni Robinson three pointer with 2:47 left in regulation.
 
UAPB return to action on Monday, March 2 as they will host Jackson State in a 7:30 p.m. contest at the H.O. Clemmons Arena.
