Box Score NORMAL, Ala. (Feb. 9) - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Men's Basketball team picked up their fifth conference win of the season as the Golden Lions defeated Alabama A&M, 53-42 here Monday night at Thomas Elmore Gymnasium.

AAMU jumped out to a 5-2 lead on back-to-back layup by Nicolas West and made free throw by Ladarius Tabb with 16:36 left in the first half.

UAPB countered with a 5-2 run to take a 7-5 lead on a
Marcel Mosley three pointer with 15:52 to go in the half.

The Golden Lions and Bulldogs tied each other five more times in the first half as Ladarius Tabb connected on three free throws to tie the contest at 23-23 to end the half.

UAPB finished the first half shooting 26.1 percent (6-of-23), while AAMU shot 36.0 percent (9-of-25).

A pair of free throws by
Marcel Mosley gave the Golden Lions a 29-26 lead with 17:01 left in regulation as UAPB scored their six points of the half on layups by
DeAndre McIntyre and
Trent Whiting.

The Golden Lions then push their lead to 32-27 on a made three pointer by Mosley with 14:59 left in contest.

UAPB enjoyed their biggest lead of the night on three made free throws by Mosley at 3:44 mark of the half, giving the Golden Lions a 46-37 lead.

AAMU (6-15, 5-6 SWAC) was paced by Tabb with 23 points and 10 rebounds, followed by West with eight points and 10 rebounds.

UAPB (8-17, 5-6 SWAC) was led by Mosley with a game high 23 points to lead all-scorers and five rebounds, followed by Thaddeus Handley with 12.Â

The Golden Lions will return to action on Saturday, February 14 as they will host Southern University at the H.O. Clemmons Arena in a 7:30 p.m. start. In their first meeting of the season the Jaguars handed the Golden Lions a 70-60 loss at F.G. Clark Activity Center in Baton Rouge, La.
