Box Score SEATTLE, Wash. (Nov. 13) - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Men's Basketball Team picked up their first win of the season in dramatic fashion with the Golden Lions pulling out a 58-56 win over Seattle University, here Friday night at Key Arena.

In the second half, UAPB trailed by much as seven points as the Red Hawks took a 41-34 lead on a Manroop Clair three pointer with 13:43 remaining in the contest.Â

The Golden Lions reclaimed the lead with a 10-2 run to take a 47-43 lead on a
JoVaughn Love three pointer with 7:49 left in the half.

SU used a 9-2 run to retake the lead on a William Powell free throw with 3:30 to go in the contest, making the score 52-49 in favor of the Red Hawks.

In the final 58 seconds Love would go three-for-four from the charity stripe and hit a field goal at the 28 second mark to give the Golden Lions 58-56 victory.

UAPB finished the second half shooting 38.5 percent (10-of-29) from the floor, where SU shot 25.0 percent (6-of-24).

The first half saw two ties in the first four minutes of the half as Jack Crook for SU tied the contest at 7-7 on pair of made free throws at the 15:22 mark.

SU pulled away in the half with a 13-2 run to take a 20-10 lead on Powel layup with 9:23 left in the first.

UAPB cut SU's lead to 23-19 on a
Marquis Cunningham jumper with 5:05 left in the half, capping a 9-3 run by the Golden Lions.

The Golden Lions outscored the Red Hawks 9-5 in the final three minutes of the half as SU went into the break with a 33-28 lead.

UAPB finished the first half shooting 34.5 percent (10-of-29), whereas SU shot 44.0 percent (11-of-25).

For the contest, the Golden Lions shot 36.4 percent (20-of-55), while the Red Hawks shot 34.7 percent (17-of-49).

UAPB (1-0) was led by Love with a game high 15 points and nine rebounds. Behind him was
Deshon Bayless with 10 points and eight rebounds. Â
Ghiavonni Robinson led the team in assists with four.

SU (0-1) was led by Crook with 11 points, followed by Powell with 10. Brendan Westendorf led the Red Hawks on the boards and in assists with 11 rebounds and six assists.Â
