Prairie View, TX- In SWAC basketball action, the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Golden Lions took to the court against the Panther's of Prairie View A&M. The Golden Lions ran off from the Panther's for a 76-47 final.

Prairie View would grab their first lead of the evening, 2-0, on a jumper Ryan Gesiakowski with 18:30 on the clock, and would not hold the lead for another six minutes, 7-6, with 12:41 to go before halftime. That would be the closest the Panther's would get all night.

 The Golden Lions would take over on a three pointer by Tevin Hammond, at the 12 minute mark. The lead would fluctuate between four and 11 points over the next 10 minutes, at which point Lazabian Jackson would knock down a three pointer for a 32-21 lead. Terrell Kennedy would tip in a lay-up with 37 seconds left before halftime, to give the Golden Lions a 36-25 lead going into the half.

In the second half, it was the Mitchell Anderson show; as he would score 18 of his game high 24 points, on 10-18 shooting, to help lead the Golden Lions to a 29 point victory. UAPB's defensive pressure would prove to be too much for the Panthers, as they would turn the ball over 15 times that would turn into 18 points for the Golden Lions.

UAPB would outscore PVAM, 38-26, on points in the paint and got more points of the bench, 40-21.

To go along with his 24 points, Anderson would also grab eight rebounds. Kennedy would turn in 12 points and grab six rebounds, while Marcel Mosley would chip in 10.

Jules Montgomery and Ryan Gesiakowski would both put up nine points for the Panthers.

The Golden Lions return home February 23, as they host the Tigers of Grambling State University at the H.O. Clemmons Arena. Tipoff is set for 7:30 PM.
