College Station, TX - The UAPB Golden Lions (2-4) dropped a tough 88-55 decision to the Texas A&M Aggies onTuesday night at Reed Arena.

Junior guard Tevin Hammond finished with a team-high 15 points, while senior forward Daniel Broughton added 10 points and 12 rebounds in the loss.

The Lions got within one in the 8:00 minute mark off a monster dunk by Davon Haynes. The Aggies bounced back with a 19-5 run in the last 4:24 in the first half, to go into halftime with a 44-19 lead.

The Aggies had four players in double figures with junior guard Jamal Jones leading the way with 18 points, five rebounds and three blocks. Fabyon Harris added 12 points, Jordan Green and Kourtney Roberson chipped in 11 a piece.

The second half belonged to the Aggies, outscoring the Golden Lions 44-26. The Lions went cold shooting 10-of-36 (27.8%). UAPB continued to struggle to find points from its bench only contributing 12 points to the Aggies 52.
