Box Score Pine Bluff, AR- The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Golden Lions welcomed the Bulldogs of Alabama A&M for Military and First Responders Night at H.O. Clemmons Arena.
The Golden Lions jumped managed to take control of the game at the 14:19 minute mark and never looked back as the lead swelled to 19 points by halftime. The Golden Lions finished off the Bulldogs with a final score of 77-61.
Terrell Kennedy led all scorers with 18 points on five- of- seven shooting; and he also went seven-of-seven from the free throw line.
Davon Haynes added 14 points and seven rebounds, while
Daniel Broughton turned in another double double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
Lazabian Jackson added 10 points.
Demarqulle Tabb, the SWAC Preseason Player of the Year had a quiet sixteen points and 12 rebounds for the Bulldogs tonight.
“We played real strong tonight. Things started clinking for us and we were able to come away with the win”, said head coach
George Ivory.
The Golden Lions are on the road next weekend as they travel to Southern and Alcorn State. The Lady Lions return home on January 19
th, as they play host to the Tigers of Texas Southern. Tipoff is set for 7:30 PM. This will be Coaches v. Cancer Night and all fans are asked to wear tennis shoes in support of the event.
