ALCORN STATE, Miss.- The Alcorn State Braves did just enough on Monday to snap a four-game Golden Lions' winning streak as they emerged victorious at home against UAPB.
ASU knocked off the Golden Lions by a score of 66-58, as UAPB was unable to get timely stops down the stretch.
Mitchell Anderson notched his second consecutive double-double as he contributed 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Savalace Townsend led all scorers with 18 points going 4-of-11 form the field in 40 minutes of play.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff returns home on Saturday to face Texas Southern in what will be the two teams' last and final meeting of the regular season. Tip-off is slated for 7:00 p.m. at H.O. Clemmons Arena.
