BATON ROUGE, La.- The Golden Lions basketball team upset the Southern Jaguars at home on Saturday with a thrilling 64-58 win.
 
The Jaguars entered the game having only lost two conference games for the season but the Golden Lions outscored the Jags 40-28 in the games' final stanza to secure a much needed win marking their fourth consecutive victory.
 
Mitchell Anderson tallied a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds, while Savalace Townsend and Daniel Broughton added 12 and 11 respectively.
 
Arkansas-Pine Bluff will close out a two-game road trip with a game against Alcorn State on Monday at 7:00 pm.
