MONTGOMERY, Ala.- The University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff Men's Basketball team fell to 1-15 overall 0-3 in Southwestern Athletic Conference play on Monday after dropping a 62-56 decision to the Alabama State Hornets.
 
The Golden Lions who are still in search of their first SWAC win will look to obtain that victory on Saturday as they get set to play their first contest in front of their home crowd. UAPB will face the Southern Jaguars in what should shape up to be a highly entertaining affair.
 
Against ASU Arkansas-Pine Bluff struggled from the free throw line shooting 47 percent (9-of-19). Arkansas-Pine Bluff was led in scoring by Savalace Townsend who tallied 23 points.
 
UAPB's home opener is slated for a 4:00 pm tip-off at H.O. Clemmons Arena on Saturday, January 14^th.
