HUNTSVILLE, Ala.- Despite outscoring the Alabama A&M Bulldogs 39-31 in the second half the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions fell to 0-2 in SWAC play after losing 65-62 on the road.
 
Guard Lazabian Jackson erupted for 20 points but it wasn't enough as the Bulldogs held on to capture the win in what was a hard fought contest down the stretch.
 
UAPB shot 43 percent from the field while allowing AAMU to shoot 51 percent. The Golden Lions won the turnover battle 17-13 but couldn't hit enough timely bucket down the stretch to secure their first conference win.
 
UAPB will travel to Montgomery to face Alabama State on Monday at 7:30 pm.
