PINE BLUFF, Ark.- The Arkansas-Pine Bluff Men's Basketball team lost a nail biter on Saturday losing to the Southern Jaguars 69-68 on a last second three pointer by SU's Derrick Beltran.
Savalace Townsend scored a game high 31 points but it was Southern's late game timely buckets which proved to be the difference in the game.
UAPB's
Mitchell Anderson had a chance to win the game for the Golden Lions on a jumper as time expired but his shot attempt fell short subsequently sealing the contest in the Jaguars favor.
“Losing like this is tough,” said UAPB guard
Savalace Townsend. “”All we can do now is learn from this game and get ready for Alcorn State.”
Arkansas-Pine Bluff will face the Braves on Monday, January 16
th, at 7:30 pm at H.O. Clemmons Arena. All youth grade levels K-12 will be admitted in the game free of charge.
