Golden Lions Defeat Alabama A&M Bulldogs 61-53

PINE BLUFF, Ark.- Allen Smith and Savalace Townsend each scored 13 points and Arkansas-Pine Bluff beat Alabama A&M 61-53 Monday night for its first win of the season.
 
Ricky Parks contributed 11 points for the Golden Lions (1-14, 1-2 Southwestern Athletic Conference), who have beaten the Bulldogs a total of 12 straight times.
 
Demarquelle Tabb led Alabama A&M (5-8, 2-2) with 11 points, and Bo Amusa scored 10.The both teams shot 32.7 percent from the field, and tallied a combined for 35 turnovers.
 
UAPB led 30-24 at halftime but went more than 10 minutes without a field goal to start the second half. After the Bulldogs twice took one-point leads, the Golden Lions regained the lead for good with an 11-5 run to seal the contest.
