PINE BLUFF, AR. - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff women's soccer opens their 2022 campaign with a road matchup against Arkansas St. in Jonesboro, AR., at the A-State Soccer Complex.Â
There will be no streaming for this match but the game can be followed on live stats.
This is the first meeting between the two programs since 2015.
Led by third year head coach Erik Solberg, the Lady Lions have 18 regular- season matches on their schedule this season, with eight being played at home.Â
UAPB have 12 returners on the roster and eight talented newcomers, which includes one transfer to add to the "Golden Ingredients" for the upcoming season.
The returners include goalkeeper Taylor Schumacher, defenders Briana Hernandez, Azana Holman, Iyanah Hicks, and Kaitlyn Hapke.  Madison Hernandez, and SWAC Offensive Preseason Player of the Year Natalie Freeman are the returning forwards for UAPB, followed by midfielders Cameron Rodriguez, Brisha Musungu, Evangelia Sandoval-Belmudez, Mia Espinoza, and All-SWAC Second Team, Alondra Lepe.
The Red Wolves is coming off a 1-0 win over UT-Martin in an exhibition match last week, led by Aliyah Williamson who's returning for her sophomore year. Â
