#UAPBSoccer on the Road to Face Houston

The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff women's soccer team hits the road to Houston, TX, to take on Houston Cougars in a non-conference match tonight, at the Carl Lewis International Complex.

The opening kick is set to begin at 7 p.m. CT.  The game will be available to view on ESPN Plus, and live stats will be available on uapblionsroar.com/soccer game day or free on the UAPB Athletics App.
                                                                   
The Lady Lions (4-5) are coming off a 2-0 home loss to conference foe Atlantic Conference Tulsa University.  UAPB is led by freshman Natalie Freeman, who was named Southwestern Athletic Conference Player of the Week for two consecutive weeks, and leads the conference in four categories, goals (7), shots (26), shots on goal (16), points (16).

 The Cougars are coming into tonight's matchup 8-1-1 and coming off a 2-0 win over Sam Houston.  Nadia Kamassah leads the Cougars with five goals for the season.  

The matchup with the Cougars will be the last non-conference matchup for the Lady Lions before they open conference play at home against Southern Friday, October 5.  

 "This is a competitive game that will help prepare us for conference play that begins next week. This opportunity to play a team that's in the American Athletic Conference will be great to gain experience and our plan is to play a competitive 90 minutes," said head coach Erik Solberg.
