#UAPBSoccer Defeats William Baptist For Their Second Consecutive Win

The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff soccer team defeated Williams Baptist 1-0 Tuesday evening at Pumphrey Stadium for their second consecutive win.

In the first half of the competition, both teams had a difficult time trying to score as all of their shot attempts proved to be unsuccessful. The Lady Lions had 15 shot attempts compared to the Lady Eagles before going into the half tied at 0-0.

During the second half, UAPB was able to get on the board when freshman Hailey Langley spiral the ball in back corner of the net in the 80th 80th-minute with an assist from freshman Erin Fite to give UAPB a 1-0 lead. William Baptist had their chances to tie the game down the stretch but, the Lady Lions defense held on for the win.

The Lady Lions was led by Langley, who scored the game game-winning to go along with one shot, and one shot at the goal. Freeman was close behind with five shot attempts and four shots on goal.

"I am pleased with another win. This was our third game in five days which was a task but, it feels great to have won two consecutive games at home," said UAPB Head Coach Erik Solberg.

The Lady Lions will be back in action on September 19th against Tulsa at Pumphrey Stadium at 1 PM.
