The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff women's soccer team will prepare to begin their first game in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) tournament on April 8th in Prairie View, TX. The seventh-seeded Lady Lions will take on the second-seeded Lady Tigers of Grambling St. at 5:30 p.m. at the PVAMU Soccer Complex. 

The Lady Lions recently completed their regular season, finishing with a record of 4-7. UAPB fell to Grambling St. in their last regular season game with a final score of 3-2.

"We were expecting to compete against Grambling in the first round of the tournament, and used the last game to gain a better understanding of how we can improve to be prepared for Thursday's first match-up," said Head Coach Erik Solsberg. 

Freshman Iyanah Hicks was named First Team All-SWAC and junior Cameron Rodriguez was named Second Team All-SWAC and both are looking to make a statement during SWAC tournament play.
