The Golden Lions return to action for the first time since the 33-30 season-opening win at Southern on March 6. QB Skyler Perry was named SWAC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance, accounting for 281 yards and four touchdowns. Perry completed 22 of 37 passes for 231 yards and two touchdowns, while rushing eight times for 58 yards and a career-high two touchdowns.

UAPB gained 411 yards total offense in the game, highlighted by a five-possession stretch in the second and third quarters where the Golden Lions scored four touchdowns.

Defensively, four takeaways, including three second-half interceptions, sealed UAPB's first win over Southern since 2012.

Saturday, the Golden Lions will look to defeat GSU for the first time since 2013 in a venue where the Tigers have lost only twice since 2015.

GSU has lost both its games this season by a combined 12 points, a 33-28 home loss to Jackson St. on March 6, and a 17-10 loss vs. Prairie View A&M in Arlington, Texas last week.

After Saturday's game at GSU, the Golden Lions will play three of the final four regular season games at home. The March 27 game against Alabama State (7 p.m. kickoff), and back-to-back weekends against Prairie View A&M April 17 (6 p.m.) and Texas Southern April 24 (kickoff TBA) are set to be played at Simmons Bank Field.

Advanced purchase of tickets are available online only at uapblionsroar.com/tickets through Friday at midnight before each home game. Prices are $20 for general admission tickets, $25 for reserved bleacher seats, $30 for reserved bench back seats, and $40 for chairback seats. Golden Lion students are admitted free with valid UAPB ID.

If available on gameday, in-person ticket purchases can be made at Simmons Bank Field starting three hours before kickoff. Prices increase by $5 on gameday.
