Soccer To Host Green Bay For First Time Ever On Thursday

The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff women's soccer team will host the Green Bay Phoenix for the first meeting between the two teams Thursday at 5 p.m. at Pumphrey Stadium. 
 
The Lady Lions (2-4) are coming off a two-game, two-day road trip, defeating Jarvis Christian 4-0 last Thursday before falling to Sam Houston 5-0 last Friday. 

Senior Sarah Wright, Shannon Seymour, freshman Lizeth Martinez, and Kaylie Gabel each had a goal in the shutout over Jarvis Christian.

On the defensive side goalie freshman Trinity Taylor ranks seventh in the conference with a total of 36 saves and fourth in the conference averaging 6.00 saves per game.  Wright was also named conference defensive player of the week. 

Green Bay (3-3) is coming off a 2-0 loss to Wisconsin Badgers. The Lady Phoenix are led by Caitlin Hawley, who leads the team with two goals.
