Box Score (Houston, Texas) The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff soccer team fell to Texas Southern University by the score of 4-0 on a hot October day at Durley Stadium where temperatures reached 90 degrees. Having only a total of three substitutes, the Lady Lions competed for as long as possible before giving up two second half goals to the Lady Tigers. 

Freshman Kelly Sanders scored the first two goals to give TSU (5-5-2, 4-1-1 SWAC) a halftime lead while Karissa Fewnwick and Rebecca Holmes of UAPB both produced two shots apiece. Goalkeeper Sariah Orocu had a game-high five saves in the loss.

Two days prior, the Lady Lions played a tough game Prairie View A&M which resulted in a 1-0 loss. Orocu produced a season-high 11 saves and allowed just one goal in the 49th minute despite 16 shots in the second half from Prairie View A&M. As a result, Orocu was selected as the Southwestern Athletic Conference Tyler Babb had a team-high three shots on goal for UAPB (1-9-1, 1-3-1 SWAC), who lost its second straight conference match.

The Lady Lions return to action on Friday, October 13 as it hosts Alabama A&M at 3:00 p.m. at Pumphrey Stadium during Homecoming week.
