PINE BLUFF, Ark. (April 15) - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Men's Basketball team will added a trio of forwards and one guard to the 2016-17 team with the signing of Trenton Steen, Joe'Randle Toliver, Cedric Turner, II and Travon Harper to National Letters of Intent.
Harper, a 6-8, 200, forward/center from Mississippi Delta Community College in Moorehead, Miss, finished last season for MDCC averaging 16 points, seven rebounds, two assists and one block per game. He is a native of McNeil, Ark.
Steen and Toliver, both were teammates at Mid-South Community College in West Memphis, Ark.
Steen, a 6-8, 220, forward/center from Forrest City, Ark., finished last season averaging 12.0 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists and one block per game for MSCC. He pulled down nine rebounds against Rhodes College (2-15-16) and scored 10 points against Faith Prep (2-18-16).
His fellow teammate Toliver, a 6-4, 200, guard from Jonesboro, Ark., finished last season averaging 11 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals per game for MSCC. He scored 17 points and dished out six assists against Central Baptist College (2-22-16) and pumped in 13 points and dished out five assists against North Arkansas College (2-27-16).
Rounding out the cast of Golden Lions signees is Turner, 6-8, 235, forward/center from Cypress Ranch High School in Cypress, Texas, who finished last season averaging 10 points, six rebounds, and shot over for over 40 percent from the three point line.
