Box Score PRAIRIE VIEW,TEXAS (Nov. 3) - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Soccer advanced in the 2016 Soccer Southwestern Athletic Conference Tournament with a 1-0 win over Mississippi Valley State here Thursday afternoon at the Prairie View A&M Soccer Complex/Athletic Facility.
Rebecca Holmes scored the only goal of the game as she scored at the 79:27 mark of the contest. Holmes finished the contest with five shots on goal.
UAPB had four other Lady Lions to finish with two shots on goal in
Veronica Parker,
Sarah Wright,
Allison Herrin and Maria De Campos.
MVSU was led by Laadi Issaka with four shots on goal.
With the win, UAPB advances to the semifinals to face Howard University on Friday, November 4 in a 3 p.m. start at the Prairie View A&M Soccer Complex/Athletics Facilities.
Howard defeated UAPB, 1-0 in their regular season matchup.
UAPB moves to an 8-7-1 on the season, whereas MVSU ends their season with a 5-7-2 record.
