PVAMU took a 33-0 lead into the half time break with the Panthers scoring 19 first quarter points and 14 second quarter points.
Darius Ford scored the Panthers first score of the game on a nine-yard TD pass from Trey Green at the 8:23 mark of the first quarter. Just three minutes later, PVAMU would score their second TD of the game on a 51-yard TD interception return by Arthur Lockett at the 5:08 mark of the quarter.
On their second possession of the quarter, the Panthers scored their third TD of the game on a 34-yard pass to KhaDarel Hodge from Trey Green at the 2:01 mark.
Hodges scored his second TD of the game on a 64-yard pass from Green at the 9:13 mark of the second quarter. PVAMU scored their fifth TD of the contest on a 22-yard Green TD pass to Demaquo Lastrappe at the 7:42 mark of the second quarter.
PVAMU scored on their first possession of the third quarter as Hodge scored his third TD of the game on a four –yard TD pass from Green with 9:48 of the quarter, increasing the Panthers lead to 40-0 over UAPB.
Sta'fon McCray increased the Panthers' lead to 47-0 on a 13-yard TD at the 2:46 mark of the third quarter.
The Golden Lions got on the board with a 93-yard kickoff return for TD by Marvante King with 2:34 mark of the third quarter, cutting PVAMU's leads to 47-7.
PVAMU scored the final points of the contest in the fourth quarter on a one-yard TD run by Sta'fon McCray at the 14:55 mark and a 37-yard field goal by Martinez at the 7:15 mark of the quarter for the 57-7 finale.
LeEarl Patterson finished the contest with 167 yards of total offense with 86 yards on 19 carries and passed for 81 yards by completing 8 passes in 20 attempts.
Willie Young led the team in receiving with 31 yards on two receptions. Behind him was
Jaelen Collins with 18 yards on two receptions.
UAPB had three Golden Lions to finish in double-digit tackles in Scottie Peach, Willie Duncan and Donald Taggert. Both Peace and Duncan both finished the contest with 13 tackles apiece and Taggert with 11.
McCray led the PVAMU ground attack with 62 yards on 10 carries with two TDs, followed by Dawonya Tucker with 52 yards on 10 carries.
Green led the Panthers' passing attack with 400 yards by completing 23 passes in 29 attempts and five TDs.
Both Hodge and Lastrappe led the Prairie View A&M receivers with Hodge finishing with 128 yards on five receptions for 128 yards and three TDs, while Lastrappe finished the contest with 83 yards on five receptions and one TD.
Jalan Coleman and Jalon Leviege led the Panthers' defense with Coleman finishing with eight tackles and Leviege with six.
