Box Score GRAMBLING, La. (Oct. 29) - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff football dropped a 70-0 decision to Grambling State, 70-0 here Saturday afternoon at Eddie Robinson Stadium.
UAPB was held scoreless in the contest as GSU scored 14 points in the first quarter, 28 in the second and 14 in both the third and fourth quarter.
Brandon Duncan finished the contest with 162 yards passing by completing 21 passes in 37 attempts with two interceptions.
In the contest,
Willie Young tallied 66 receiving yards on eight receptions as he became UAPB's all-time leading receiver, surpassing Raymond Webber. Young to this date has 2,383 career receiving yards.
UAPB has three Golden Lions to finish with seven tackles apiece in
LaFarrell Franklin,
Scottie Peace and
Braxton Hoof.
Lyndemian Brooks led the GSU ground attack with 120 yards on 15 carries. Behind him was Jestlin Kelly with 88 yards on 14 carries and scoring two TDs.
Devante Kincade the GSU signal caller finished the contest with 457 passing yards by completing 23 passes in 26 attempts with six TDs.
Chad Williams led the Tigers' receivers with 236 yards on eight receptions and scoring three TDs.
Donovan McCray led GSU's defense with seven tackles, two sacks and four tackles for loss.
UAPB will return to action on Saturday, November 5, when the Golden Lions will welcome Mississippi Valley State to Golden Lion Stadium in a 2:30 p.m. start.
