Box Score PINE BLUFF, Ark. (Oct. 15) - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff dropped a 40-7 decision to Alabama A&M, here Saturday afternoon at Golden Lion Stadium in their annual homecoming game.
AAMU took a 30-0 lead into the halftime break with the Bulldogs scoring three TDs and connecting on one field goal in the first half.
The Bulldogs scored on their first possession of the game on a De'Angelo Ballard 26-yard TD run with 10:15 to go in the first quarter, giving the Bulldogs a 6-0 lead.
Jordan Bentley added to the AAMU lead on a one-yard TD run with 7:23 left in the first, making the score 13-0 Bulldogs.
In the second quarter, AAMU tallied 17 points with Marceles Clash scoring on a 19-yard run, followed by Ballard six-yard run and a Nick Carden 36-yard field goal.
In the second half, the Bulldogs scored on their first possession of the second half with Ballard scoring his third TD of the game from five yards out and a Carden 46-yard field goal.
The Golden Lions special teams set up the Golden Lions only score of the game as they recovered an AAMU muffed punt. Two plays later,

Willie Young from 19 yards out with 11:26 remaining in the third quarter for the 40-7 finale.
Dante McDonald led the UAPB ground attack with 36 yards on seven carries, followed by
Brandon Duncan with 25 yards on 11 carries.
Duncan finished the contest by completing 15 passes in 27 in attempts for 140 yards and one TD.
Young led the UAPB receivers with 92 receiving yards on seven receptions.
Both Willie Duncan and
Jentrel Woodard led the UAPB defense as they both finished with 11 tackles apiece. Woodard recorded three solos and eight assisted tackles and 0.5 tackles for loss, whereas Duncan finished with one solo tackles and 10 assisted tackles.
Jordan Bentley led the Bulldogs' ground attack with 91 yards on 11 carries with one TD, followed by Ballard with 89 yards on 15 carries with three TDs.
Ballard finished the contest with 214 passing yards by completing 17 passes in 27 attempts with one TD as he tallied 303 of total offense.
Jonathan Dorsey led the AAMU receivers with 74 receiving yards on three receptions, whereas Tuvin McKenzie led the Bulldogs in receptions with five receptions for 33 yards.
Kenneth Davis led the Bulldogs in tackles with 10 (5 UA, 5 Asst), 0.5 sacks and two tackles for loss.
UAPB will return to action on Saturday, October 22 as they will travel to Baton Rouge, La., to take on Southern University at A.W. Stadium in a 4 p.m. start.
