BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (15) - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Men's Basketball team received 76 points and one first place vote as they were predicted to finish fourth for the 2014-2015 season, announced today by the Southwestern Athletic Conference, voted by conference head coaches and sports information directors.
Alabama State was predicted to win the 2014-2015 regular season crown as they tallied 106 points with four first place votes. Behind them was Southern University with 95 points and one first place votes. Predicted to finish third was Texas Southern with 91 points and three first place votes. In the fifth place in the predicted order of finish was Alcorn State with 75 points and one first place vote, followed by Prairie View A&M with 74 points and one first place vote for a sixth place finish. Alabama A&M is predicted to finish seventh with 62 points and one first place vote. In eighth was Jackson State with 61 points, Mississippi Valley State in ninth with 33 points and Grambling State was predicted to finished 10
th with 30 points and one first place vote.
UAPB will open its 2014-15 season in Honolulu, Hawaii in the Outrigger Hawaii Classic as they will take on High Point on Friday, Nov. 14 at 5 p.m.
