JONESBORO, Ark. -- Arkansas State used four second half goals to pull away from UAPB in a 5-0 shutout on Friday afternoon. The Lady Lions slipped to 1-8 with the loss.
The Lady Wolves held a slim 1-0 lead after 20 minutes, however behind a pair of goals by Christina Fink, A-State opened the flood gates in the final half.
UAPB was held to three shots for the game, while A-State took 42, 19 on-goal. UAPB keeper Alyssa Cobbs had double-digit saves for the eighth time this season. She finished with 14.
The Lady Lions return home to face Central Baptist on Tuesday. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
